The nearest would be the ecotec pro 28 (slightly less output)
There is also an 'exclusive' range available which offer higher outputs and a few extra features.
Worcester's aren't a bad boiler, it's just like so many things these days...built to a price and living off a previous good reputation.
Your best bet is to discuss this with your installer and see what he says. You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0 -
Ecotec Plus 831. Just ensure your cold water flow is adequate for the output of the boiler.0

As I said, the WB 30 CDI is very good, but there is one annoying feature and that is the key. I find it impossible to remove the key after pressurising the system, possibly because I am frightened of pulling too hard. I wonder if some form of grease on the washer would help?Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

Obviously the key needs to be turned to the locked position again (which I think is slightly to the left as you stand in front of the boiler) and you need to pull it hard straight down! The service engineer put a bit of grease on the rubber washer on mine so it's not so difficult to pull and remove.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -

Always remove the key.
Then, when you need it, a tiny smear of fairy liquid works wondersYou have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0 -
Thanks, the fairy liquid trick sounds good. Yes, I know to turn it to the locked position, but it is damn tight.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

Vaillant have a solution to the less than user friendly WB key system. They fit an amazing new concept called taps to the filling loop!0

We discussed this with the heating engineer. Due to 'economics' we could put the boiler on the credit card, then would have enough to pay the engineer.
As a matter of interest, what about Valliant boilers ?
Isn't a combi 'the way to go' nowadays.
Removing the two tanks in the upstairs bedroom cupboard (previously a loft) and the hot tank downstairs will give us two new cupboards. Just think how many new clothes my wife could fit there. :rotfl:
Yes,,thats certainly true! i think it is women who see the advantages of combis simply because of this strange need for storage space. It is received wisdom that they are some how better, more efficient and cheaper to run. I personally feel that a stored volume is more appropriate for most households.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
