in Credit cards
Can anyone advise me please.
I purchased a car on a finance deal but over the following 10 months, the car was in and out of the workshop for various different reasons.
To cut a long story short, the garage had it back as I lost confidence in the vehicle and swapped it for another one. I paid an initial deposit of £500 to secure the vehicle on my credit card but this was refunded when I started the finance agreement.
Do I have a case to claim as I lost about £2000 when I swapped it in?
Thanks in advance.

IMO no.
The car was not in the garage for the whole 10 months so you must have had some use of it.
If the credit card payment was refunded back to your credit card then definitely you do not have a case.
Did you swap for a like for like car or a different one?
If different then again your choice but no S75 cover.0 -
However you could have a case against the finance company, but I don't see a case here.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »If the credit card payment was refunded back to your credit card then definitely you do not have a case.0 -
Need to know more details about what problems you had with your car to work out whether you have a case against the dealer let alone the card company
Knowing what type of finance you have would also help and S75 does not only apply to credit cards.0
