Matt PVA Alternative
Options
Hi all,
I would like to make some coasters I saw Kirstie Allsopp make on tv the other day. It involves gluing paper napkins to small tiles then 3 coats of PVA on top to seal and make it waterproof.
However, I think PVA dries to a glossy finish doesn't it? I would like them to have a matt finish so wondered if you can recommend something else I can use instead?
Thanks,
Kevin x

Try Matte Mod Podge, you can get it on Amazon or eBay for around a fiver.0

Thanks lucystardust. I did wonder about mod lodge but I read earlier it stays slightly tacky when dry... Don't think that would be good for a coaster!0

There's a thread on here for using midge podge-somebody suggested using paper varnish to take the tackiness away!0
