Mending cracked 'plastic' lawnmower casing

My lawnmower is working very well but the casing is badly cracked. I'm wondering if I could save myself the cost of a new mower by somehow 'sticking' the casing back together. I have been using gaffer tape but, as the broken bit is under considerable strain, it won't last very long before I have to replace the tape. I'm…

I know it's taken a long time but, winter made grass cutting unnecessary

I have finally mended the mower with copious amounts of fibre glass. I even managed to remove and replace the handle. It has been tested on the first cut of the season and, fingers crossed, it seems to be holding.
