I am not splitting hairs - you told me to call them, I told you I have twice, and twice I was assured that the parcel would be collected next and same day. FACT.

Phoning on a Friday is never ideal. And as for Saturday, as I HAVE TOLD YOU TWICE :p is par for the course, as in, nothing happens.

You will have to ring tomorrow and speak with a supervisor, or get on Social Media, or just sit and whinge.

It's not really that difficult but I do hope your buyer isn't suffering because of it.

And yes, it is splitting hairs. Why argue with me over something that Hermes haven't done TWICE? Why not use your time and do what has been suggested?

!0113 397 6400 - land line number for My Hermes.

I already tried the numbers offered by 'Say no' (I always look for cheaper numbers there)

The numbers offered take you through to a dedicated customer service line for couriers only, and you are given short shrift by the operator who just reels of the original 0845 Hermes no to call.

    Thanks anyway.

Just to add I was going away and so booked My Hermes for a parcel. I then dropped it off at the parcel shop. When I came away my Hermes courier told me he had called a couple of times to collect a parcel but no answer.

Anyway turns out I had accidently booked the parcel for collection and then dropped it off at the parcel shop. I don't think they can tell if something has been paid for or not. I guess if it hasn't been paid for they just hold the parcel till you do pay for.

So I would just drop it off at the parcel shop. I had the same problem as you when my courier was away and parcels weren't collected even though someone else was suppose to be covering his area.

AFAIK the info on the pre-pay label is the same whether the parcel is collected by courier or taken to a parcel shop. For the buyer's sake, I'd at least have a go at taking to a parcel shop - since you've already paid for the delivery service, I would've thought that the label would still be valid. The worst that can happen is the shop refuses the parcel (in which case more ammunition for your complaint to myHermes!). I'd only take up a complaint with myHermes once the parcel's on it's way. Only then will you know the exact nature of the complaint iyswim:) I hope this makes sense (long day today!)

i don't think this will work with myhermes, but I have successfully gotten a refund from paypal when I paid for services which were not delivered. I opened a case, and the scammer did not reply to paypal's request for information, so they refunded me.

I think he was using a fake paypal and intended to do a runner with the money, not sure if he was able to withdraw it to a bank or not, but something must have worked because I discovered he had done this several times before and after scamming me
