Would anyone be able to offer me some help with Opencart? depends what version you are using. I have several OC sites. The best place for the assistance you want will be here
http://forum.opencart.com/
as they have some good helpful users on their own forum
and the documentation here

I'm using the lastest version I only installed it last week, I have tried the forums but being non techie I need instructions for dummies, I believe I have to access my stylesheet and am having trouble locating this in my file manager (c panel?) and as for coding...:eek:Thanks for your suggestions though.:happyloveThank you, thank you, thank you :happylove0

logo is added from the admin area
under System > Settings > Images
depending on what you are selling forget changing the default template colour scheme, you can find free or cheap pre set templates for almost all types of products. it is a lot easier and less time consuming0 -
Just checking, if you installed open cart do you mean to your own server? Just a note of caution, shopping software and the server need to be actively fully patched as they have a lot of attack surfaces and potentially a lot of value to criminals. If you're not techie it can be tempting to assume it'll all be OK, but the open internet is a hostile environment. To analogise in the real world, you would constantly hear the sound of people rattling your doorknob hoping to find it unlocked. You may find it easier to use a hosted cart service (eg Roman cart, there are others) as they then handle all the security side.
Just a thought.0 -

I have already got that far and put my logo up but had to resize and it looked awful, I have found a template I like and would be happy to use but its expensive and the designer would charge extra for adding logo etc, if you have a good link for templates it would be much appreciated, my shop will be selling healthcare products aimed at the slimmers market, thanks for your advice

I am using a drop shipping service who are also hosting my shop on thier servers, they have an automated dropship service which can only be implemented on Opencart so I have to use them as I want to take advantage of the automated service as this is one of many businesses I run, I have every confidence that their service is secure as they run thier own shop and many others using all using Opencart and they have been in business for 19 years, thanks though, I need things like this bought to my attention as this is all very new to me.
Just for information my suppliers have offered to set up the shop for me using the default template, change of colour and adding the logo, I am only selling four products so they would be added too at a charge of...wait for it...£500! support for 2 weeks then £20 each time you have query.:happyloveThank you, thank you, thank you :happylove0 -
No need for a hosted cart service, you just need to find a host that has a secure server and that knows what they are doing while hosting e-commerce sites. We host many e-commerce sites on or servers and have no attacks on these sites as our servers are well locked down security wise.Just checking, if you installed open cart do you mean to your own server? Also for a e-commerce site you will need an SSL certificate0 -

i dont think the order process will be automated, this will be upto you. what will be automated is RSS feed, so when they update their products it will update on your site. £500 to add 4 products is just OTT. I can add 4 products in less than 10 minutes and most likely not charge my clients for doing this.
I am busy setting up an OC site at the moment that uses a dropshipper, but on my own servers, so busy adding products manually, which is not a problem as i know the system0 -

I don't know what your idea of expensive might be but you could do worse than look at the Themeforest site for templates where prices are set at around $45 (approx. £30)
