The cheapest one
That also allows you to change policy to full on passing - although it may be cheaper to move elsewhere at the time. Also allows for NCD build up - but most doMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

ive just found a cheap one but customer reviews are only 1 out of 5
I was after recommended ones if possible.Things will get better day by day.0 -
Good insurers charge learners and new drivers appropriately according to the risk.
IanRi was spot on, your first insurance, unless you're a footballer or have overindulgent/silly parents, will necessarily have to be as cheap as possible, the idea being you don't claim on it by being ultra careful and building up that all important NCB.
If you want the best insurer then NFU is probably the best there is, would be interesting to hear how their quote compares.0 -
avia just came up with 5500 for provisional. ouch. guess I wont be going with them for a little corsa.Things will get better day by day.0

I found the same when looking for my first insurance. Fact is almost all the insurers are rated low like that in the same way all car hire companies are rated the same. It's not a business that makes people feel happy. Only people who post reviews are people who have had a wonderful experience or people who are angry.
Vast majority of people who get what they expect wouldn't bother, so obviously with something like insurance claims there will be more unhappy people posting negative comments.
Just check on something like defaqto which gives a star rating based on the level of cover included so you can compare between different policies. Just check you're looking at the correct policy as insurers have multiple levels of cover and each will be rated differently.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Corsa = the wrong car.. Too many newbie drivers crash them.
Try a nice Volvo 340 or 440...Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
We have been using Marmalade for our daughter to drive our car whilst she is learning. She's just bought a car today and we are switching to Collingwood which allows her to drive her own car fully comp in her own name. You can buy cover from 1 week upto months at a time. A lot of the ones we looked at wouldn't let her own the car or another insurance needed to run along side it (eg Marmalade).0

Been getting quotes for my son and have tried a few different cars.
Just ran a 1.6 440 quote, £2400 (just passed test, 17 years old). This doesnt change when he alters the excess.
Most 1 litre cars (including a Corsa) come in around £1540. If he goes for a £1000 excess, it comes down to around £1325.0
