OP has a big mortgage and a large, long DMP. With hubby also being self-employed this is obviously a very stressful and depressing situation.
Surely the obviously way to de-stressing and peace of mind is to sell up, pay off the debts and rent for a few years. This has the added advantage of allowing the flexibility to move wherever the work/family is.0 -
With 10 years to clear the DMP selling up would be my suggestion.
There's no possibility of obtaining a mortgage with a mainstream lender.
Far better therefore to start afresh.0 -
