£50 4 U offer from Post Office - How reliable?

My insurance renewal came up as a bit over £300
Seeing the Post office offer of a promise to beat my existing renewal by £50 (guaranteed) I am very tempted
BUT
They quoted me a staggering £950 like for like.
They say that I'd have to pay the £950 up front and after 60 days I'd be refunded the difference + £50
It's a lot of money to have to pay up front and it leaves me feeling uncertain if I can take the risk
I'm imagining the worst case scenario for example.
Supposing I accepted and had a bump leading to a claim before my existing policy expired. I could possibly lose out and not get the refund.
Or they may seek out some minor detail to use as an excuse not to refund

Has anyone had any experience with this company (BISL Limited).
Any advice would be welcome
