I know I should search the forum but I've read a bit and there seems a lot so I thought I should ask for advice too.

Have just received a £70 charge from Parking Eye for overstaying Aldi carpark.

Should I just ignore and wait to see what happens?

too many comps..not enough time!

I know I should search the forum but I've read a bit and there seems a lot so I thought I should ask for advice too.

Have just received a £40 (reduced from £70) charge from Parking Eye for overstaying Aldi carpark for 14 minutes. We did shop in store if that means anything as well as across the road, hence going over.

Should I just ignore and wait to see what happens?

Get in touch with Aldi Customer Services (read their FaceBook page here https://www.facebook.com/AldiUK?filter=2 to get the email address). Do you have receipts or credit card/bank statements showing purchases at Aldi on the day?

If you're a FB member post complaint on there - that does seem to get things going quickly.

Try this approach initially. If this brings no joy get back in touch here, but note that you will need to do a good bit of reading to be able to deal with this if you can't get an Aldi cancellation.

Good luck, but I'm sure this first approach should work for you.

    Let us know what happens.

Thank you I will. I don't think we have kept our receipts and we paid by cash.

    Will update, thanks.

If not cancelled by Aldi then appeal to PE (NOT naming the driver) before the 28 days are up:

Do not miss your appeal deadline, do not pay and do not ignore either!

In the meantime, while you await a reply once you have started the appeals process, search the forum for POPLA and read about how to word the second stage appeal. Do not just write your own appeal, read up on it after searching.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Fantastic :T The sweeter side of the Aldi/PE axis in all its glory.

Glad to have been able to help chickaronee, getting positive news fed back to the forum does give us some real satisfaction in knowing that a) our advice has worked and b) it is still current and likely to help other posters facing your (now former) predicament.

    Good on you :)
