Pattern says 'finish on right side row' this I find confusing. Do they mean right side facing or wrong side facing? Why can't they say facing

I would think it means with the right side facing you (as you come to the end of that row)
I haven't knitted for years but this is how I would read it.0 -
I always thought it was right side ie the side you see when wearing it, and wrong side was messy underside.0

No it means you finish just as you are about to start the right side row ie at the end of the wrong side row, usually this is to start shaping of some sort.0
