Eco - preheat means a small quantity of water is kept hot, so the boiler will fire up from time to time in order to keep it hot. When off it'll take a little longer to get hot water at that tap, so there is some waste - but this shouldn't be as much waste as having the preheat enabled all the time. You can get Worcester controllers that can enable/disable this mode at certain times according to a programme.0

Are they programmers that are physically attached to the boiler? Are they easy to self install?Oxfordmark

No one can advise you on that as its all dependent on what usage you want for the property and your personal needs, so its suck it and see
It should also be understood that the lowest settings are not necessarily the most economicalSignature removed0 -
In general in the UK if the boiler is inside the property water pre heat is not required. It is provided for Countries like Germany where boilers are often installed in outbuildings, garages etc and getting hot water would take a while.0

So what programmers can you reccommend that will switch things like hot water, preheat on and off at set times?
Are they self installable?Oxfordmark
