reccomendations for provisional drivers car insurance

Can anyone recommend a good provisional drivers insurance company. Lots ive seen seem to run along side a normal car insurance. is this the best way? but they do no start building their no claims this way do they?
Things will get better day by day.

    Depends on the policy. Some end as soon as you pass your test. So unless you take over a year to learn zero no claims will be earnt.

    If you do get no claims as a learner you maybe stuck to that company for a few years as other companies may say you cannot have 2 years no claims when you passed your test 1 year ago.

    When you pass your test the premium is likely to jump a LOT...

    I could have insured my daughter for £400 or so as a learner with her own car in her name etc.
    But after passing it would have jumped to £2800.

    Bit of a PITA is you cannot afford that and have to sell the car.
