Specsavers - brilliant service

I did severe damage to my varifocal specs on Monday and rang my optician to ask how long it would take to get new lenses. The assistant said that it normally took about two weeks. When I explained that I was going on holiday on 8th September she said that she would order the lenses immediately and hope that they might arrive in time.
What a lovely surprise to get a call a few minutes ago to say that my specs were ready. Well done Specsavers.

Most opticians that make their own glasses keep lenses in stock anyway.

I'm sorry anyone else has had problems with their experience of Specsavers. They are a franchise so the branches will vary but I think still think that varifocals inside a week is impressive.
I am wheelchair bound too and have never had access problems with any of the three branches I've used. When dancing with dragons, don't let your partner lead.0 -
I thought I was growing a cataract as one eye seemed clouded.
My specs were 18 months old, but the lens were replaced without a question.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Just had an eyetest with Specsavers a few days ago (and paid for it) then noticed today the voucher for a free test on MSE site.
Specsavers manager was happy to refund the cost against my new prescription - v pleased. :beer:0 -
One of my nose pillows broke and I thought it's going to cost an arm and a leg, but they replaced both pillow free of charge in the store.
In the past they said they would allow an expired deal like the free light activated coating, if had a word in their ear.
They seem to be more flexible than other opticians.0 -
