prepaid meter readings to top up in internet
Options
Hello everybody
I'd like to find a supplier for gas and electricity in Liverpool who offers prepaid meter readings that I can top up in internet
I saw British Gas but there is a standing charge
Scottish power needs a token
Is there any supplier who offers anything reliable and cheap?
And a company who do not charge fees if the property is empty and the gas & electric is not being used.
thanks
marco

When I first moved here it had a prepaid meter- originally with SSE who didn't do online top ups. I could only find Scottish Power and British Gas who did. I selected BG as couldn't get through to Scottish Power on the phone. I had the devices for about a year before changing to a credit meter- I knew how much I was putting on for my gas and elec so knew how much to budget on this plus I then saved by having a direct debit etc. If you are with BG make sure you are signed up to nectar as they give points- helps towards Christmas, Birthdays etc (can be spent in Argos for example). On line top up really is the next best thing to a credit meter in terms of constant power. I cannot however suggest you are going to get the cheapest tariff.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

anyone using Scottish Power?

All new customers to British Gas will have a standing charge on the clear and simple tariff. All other new tariffs that are currently available also have standing charges.
I do wish people would stop getting upset at standing charges. I can understand for people with empty properties or holiday homes but for the rest of us it usually works out the same costs as the unit rates are lower. As always people should use the comparison sites to determine the cheapest supplier for them.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0
