Yes, i don't think there is phasing for 2012 scheme. Start putting money by now to cover the arrears that will build up whilst assessment is being sorted out.0

I was on csa1 reassessed a few weeks ago as nil, the PWC then closed this case and I had a letter stating this
I then call the csa to ask why it's been closed as I would like to keep it open as I could get reassessed again next year and need to start paying again and was told I am being phased over to CSA2 as there is a linked case ...fair enough
I then get a call yesterday to say I can't be phased anymore onto csa2 as I'm going onto CSA3 (2012 rules)
How can I go from csa1 to csa2 then Csa3 in a matter of a few weeks. Surely I should have had a letter stating I was being moved to csa2?
I'm not sure the linked case would be on csa3 as I think the claim for them would have been put in before 29th July 2013 as this is when I was told the 2012 scheme official started.
So this means in future any PWC can close a CSA1 or CSA2 case and then open for a CS3 getting more money... ?0 -
CSA 3 is for cases involving 4 or more children at the moment?
Anyway, if its only 1 child your paying for then the rate is 12% of gross pay, not 16% (thats for 3 kids)
And to be honest, £12 in every £100 is not a lot of money to part with for a more stable financial upbringing for your child.0 -
The lady on the phone told me its for 2 or more children now, they've recently changed it from 4 to 2. so it sounds like they are phasing anyone with 2 or more kids with nil assessment and clerical cases first. Then progressing to the others
The 15% above was an example
I just want to make sure they have done everything correct in swapping me from system to system over very few weeks and changing rules as they go along. I have been told different things by different people over the last few weeks at the CSA
How can I check its just fine to transfer a csa1 nil assessment directly to a CSA3
The system is so new there's not much info on it.
I may lose my house but hey ho... They say I can go from nil to 16%.
My girlfriend is a PWC so I don't expect to be slated, I'm just asking advice0 -
Okay, fair enough they are moving more cases onto it.
Im confused why you keep mentioning 16% though? You have one child in your case?
Wth regard to yourr house, I really cant see what your complaining about. 12% (the correct % for 1 child) isnt very much money. Even if your gross pay was £1000 per month, that leaves CM (with no other deductions ) at £120 per month, leaving you £880 for your mortgage/bills.0 -
I just looked through your previous posts and noticed you have said 'we have high housing costs'
So you live with someone? Does she have children that live with you? Do you have futher kids that live with you/have another mother? These factors can affect the amount of CM due.
Other then that, if your housing costs are that high that even with a live in partner you cant afford to financially support your child/children then maybe its time to look at living within your means...0 -
I cant see why the ops complaining about payments starting again hardly like there paying anything now is it...Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
I have done reading too!
personally test's all her own finds0 -

I have just noticed this part of your post. I am not slating you, but stating the obvious...
If your girlfriend is a PWC then you have children living with you which your income helps support. So why would you not want to support your other children? Surely you must know from the kids that live in your household how difficult and expensive kids can be?
In all honesty, count yourself very lucky that you have had, by some barbaric reason, a nil assessment. Nows the time tomstart supporting ALL the children in your life.0 -
This link gives some general info re: CS3:

As does this booklet:

I would guess someone got confused and that you're going straight from CS1 to CS3 as you didn't get a CS2 assessment.I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.0 -

I haven't once complained about payments?..I paid for years, it was the csa who said i was nil assessment a few weeks ago. I'm not prepared to give all my info over a forum.
What I'm asking is how do I check the csa have correctly skipped me from scheme to scheme in a matter of weeks.
I will pay for my children but how can the csa say one min you have a nil assessment then the next week it's over £300
It's a poorly run system and the new system doesn't look any better, taking 7% off PWC and 20% off NRP...0
