I can completely agree with you - I became debt free in June, and went a bit mad with the cc treating myself to a couple of bits I had promised myself. Now the cc bill is under control, I am able to allow myself £100 'fun' money, which is currently sitting in a peer to peer account and gaining me a tiny bit of money. Although I do obsessively check the account to see who has paid what etc.

My advice is relax, if you want something buy it but make sure you keep an eye on what you're spending !!

Did your daughter like the battery powered car he bought for him (well it was for him really wasn't it) with her money?

She's 2, she doesn't get over-excited over anything other than Timmy Time on CBeebies! lol! And yes...it was for him really because he found videos online of other [STRIKE]saddo's[/STRIKE] men who really go to town on these cars, it's ridiculous!

Check out http://www.savvywomenonline.com/. The book of this name makes fascinating reading. I really wish I'd read this book in my 20s. In it she asks what's your money temperature? By this she means how much money are you comfortable with? Her premise is that we all have a level of money we are comfortable, with, say £10,000, and if we go above this we subconsciously we will do anything to keep within these boundaries. Lots of interesting things in there. Next week when my exams are over I'm going to reread the book whilst doing the exercises and reading the e-mails.
