Hi
BUying a new build home.
See the photo below of the new blockpaving they have built.
I'm not a block paving expert, do people think this is up to scratch?
I dont understand why the cut blocks increase in size as you get to where the garage door is going to be?

Thanks all

It's block Paving, not precision engineering.
Looks like they started at the Far End (Your Neighbours garage) and worked your way. There is obviously a slight difference in the width of the paving at the Garage endcompared to the road end (Slightly wider at the garage end by 20 or 30mm) hence the increase in size.0 -
Don`t worry too much in 12 months time It`ll be full of moss and weeds.0

I've had my block paving for over two years now and i've had very few issues with weeds. Sometimes I get the odd weed but I just zap it with a squirt of Roundup weedkiller. My driveway isn't sealed so I was expecting far more problems but they haven't materialised.
You do have to keep an eye out for weeds and just zap them the moment they appear.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -
It looks to me that at the left hand side, where the row of header coursing abuts the paviour patterning there is a very narrow band of cut brick slips . These will give grief over time and when choked with weeds and moss look dead ropey . Bad workmanship in the setting out.You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

I like the bit around the drain absolute class for a !!!!!. Terrible job overall, there is no need for cuts if you have space like there is in the photo.0

That's bloody awful. If it was my new house I'd be writing to the building company stating I am not going to accept that. It seems someone can't use a tape measure.0

on an existing drive if there are issues with moving the edging then yes it can sometimes have to be like that, but on a newbuild starting from scratch then no, as ab said very bad setting out & I'd want it re-doneI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Cant believe the paving is done before the garage is built.Wont notice much once its covered in Muck0

and it's been done like this because it's been done to a price. Like most stuff in newbuilds.
