    Yes they are.

They are also using some skullduggery in the way they are dressing up demands from the debt collectors to look like a (fake) Letter Before Claim and on the other hand issuing Letters Before Claim which are PD defective and difficult to tell from the 'fake' ones unless you know what you are looking for (and most ordinary motorists won't, so they'll carry on ignoring until a county court claim lands on their doormat).

The biggest clue to a real (but PD defective) LBC from GPB is that they do say that they are writing on behalf of their client [name of PPC] - that's when it is time to fight back using the practice direction.

What they are doing is stepping in to Michael Sobell's shoes as his name is mud in the legal world due to a couple of recent court cases and the Rox MD didn't have a very good day either.....

What Roxburghe have had to do in order to try to convince their clients and the OFT that they are going straight is to get involved with GPB......

Have you ever in the world seen a solicitors practice (Graham White) where you telephone the number on the letter head during office hours only to hear a voice mail state "Graham White solicitors no longer represent Roxburghe, please hold the line while we transfer you to Roxburghe.."

Whilst Im sure it is not illegal for Solicitors to allow another company to use their name and fire out a load of crap as long as they have permission....I for one don't buy it and the reason is self explanatory even before challenging a LBC.

Lets for argument sake say APCOA demand £60....It gets fired up to Roxburghe where it then turns into £120...Then it gets fired through the GPB channel where it rises to £225 inc claim fee....

If that is not a multiple party claim I dont know what is !!! however the letter suddenly states GPB act on behalf of APCOA......(Where is the poor old landowner in this who has lost out on a £2 Parking Space pmsl )

Why didnt APCOA go direct to GPB in the first place, after all in the OP's post #8 Roxburghe state that APCOA are their client.....do you see where I'm Going with this
  • I've had an email message from Steve Clark (BPA) who wants to look into it more. Thanks guys. Here's hopin'! Will update as more news comes in.
  • Don't hold your breath. I have had dealings with mister Clark and he always sides with the PPC. This includes agreeing that PE's list of so called "losses" can include the cost of erecting signs and cameras and back-office staff wages.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Well, Lordy, Lordy -- in my case, Mr Clark passed a complaint to the AOS who investigated and said APCOA was in the wrong to send a PCN after 14 days, and they are now agreeing to cancel. Hooray! Six months of sweat and tears, but at least it's over.
