Filling holes & making good when you leave

When we move there will be bathroom cabinets, a TV etc that will leave holes in the walls.
Do you fill with plaster, make good and paint? Not sure how far to go?

if it was me (and isnt there a Q on this in the Property info pack?) i would fill , sand and leave as is , chances are they will paint their own colours...Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

Yes, this^^
However in our current house we don;t have anything attached to the walls except shelves and picture frames and i am leaving them in situ (the fixings for the pics, obviously!)0 -

My vendors had a go at doing that. Their 'efforts' took more work to fix than if they'd just left the holes. Fortunately they'd got bored after a very few and given up.You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -

oh dear, yes sometimes you'd rather just do it yourself.
The 2nd bedroom in the house we are buying belongs to a teenage boy who it seems enjoys playing darts, but isn't particularly accurate .... i can't wait to see how that wall will look when we move in :eek:0 -
Yes, you are ideally meant to fill holes and make good - but I can't think of any property I've owned where it's happened. Nails tend to be in walls where pictures or mirrors would logically go, and more often than not I've used existing holes/nails for my own items.
Obviously you do have the exceptions like dart boards lol. My BF's trying to work out where to put his which he's brought round.
He's great, but unfortunately it seems to be human nature to throw darts at a dartboard even if your success rate at even hitting the board is virtually nil (I added several holes to his wall!).

Can't find anything on my paperwork...- but I can't think of any property I've owned where it's happened.Jx
Nor me...always turned up to a new house with nails and hooks left in the walls. Never come across anyone making good so that's why I wanted to ask0 -
I must confess we've always left picture hooks in situ when we've sold. In one house we had 200 framed taxidermy butterflies () hanging in the hall - good job our buyers purchased most of them from us as I wouldn't have fancied filling that lot
Bigger holes, from brackets etc where rawl plugs have been involved we've always filled and repainted though.....and we always leave pots of paint labelled for each room just in case.
I thought there was something on the property information form about this, but maybe I'm wrong......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0
