Morning all,
TTFTM I'm sure that until work announce who is going and who is staying tempers and stress will be getting to everyone at some point. No good beating yourself up about it, someone else is liable to flip next week. Hugs to you though.
I was awake most of the night again and couldn't get up this morning. I really don't know whats happened to my sleep pattern. I was in bed before hubby last night but he woke me up as he got into bed and that was it. All sleep had gone out of the window!
I bought some new kitchen knives the weekend. Please tell me I am not the only one who cuts her hands to ribbons each time she buys new knives. My hands are so sore. Heaven knows how I am going to peel the potatoes this evening.
Half way through todays jobs but I need to pop down the post office a little later. Theres a few extra jobs I need to do today as i'm having my Grandson tomorrow sometime and he's staying overnight so I want to arrange my bedroom furniture so that his moses basket is right next to my bed. I don't suppose much will get done whilst he's here.
Oh well, best get on with the chores. Starting with the 'Girls'. They want their dinner. Yes I know its not dinner time yet but Lucy dog is doing her best to tell me.

Hi all.
Lizzie's arrived; she's a little sweetie, a tad larger than a Cocker Spaniel, black & white, and has made herself totally at home! The franchisee was telling me he has a pup staying with him at present - a "Cavachon" which is apparently a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a Bichon Frise.:o
Hester good to see you - I was only wondering last night if you were OK.:o
Julie congrats on getting the volunteering job - I agree, you can feel unwanted and useless; I was turned down by charities 10 years ago, when I was still reasonably mobile, because I couldn't guarantee being well enough to work on any given day. Let us know how it goes.:o
Judi I cut my hands to ribbons if I do more than just look at a knife, doesn't matter if it's old or new; Mr LW does all the chopping of veggies around here.:o
We have some 'nanas to use up, so I've made banana crumble; we seem to have a lot of fruit crumbles, but we do like them.;)
I've got to run the perishables down over the next week, so that we don't leave stuff that'll go off while we're away, so I must sit down with Mr LW and agree a meal plan with that in mind.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all, using up unnamed pots of bits from the freezer, I now aim to label everything!
Was planning a swim bit bit windy to sea swim for me today,
Hugs to those that need them, planning a pottering sort of weekend with BBQ at sons new house on Sunday
Meal planning planned for start of September, eeeek, where did the rest of the year go?
Have a good weekend allCarolbee0 -
well the boys had a discussion about where they would like to go this afternoon and decided that Greenwich Park was where they wanted to be .So after an early lunch we drove to Greenwich and had a lovely stroll around in the sun then they went onto the paddle boats for 20 minutes then we had a wander around the shops.I treated the three youngest boys to a money box each from the No 1 shop in the world (its on the meridien line at the end of King William Walk and Ben decided that he wanted to mooch around the second-hand record shop (he's into vinyl records)so he had a Jimi Hendrix record that he had been after. Then we came home and they finished off the doughnuts from yesterday so four happy chappies this afternoon.I've just got home and am about to make some dinner. Its still very warm so it will probably be a jacket sweet potato and salad as its light and healthy folloed by a yoghurt and some chopped up fruit. No shopping to buy over the weekend so tomorrow will be a 'pottering day' just catching up on a few jobs indoors
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather, long may it last and make the winter shorter
Cheers chums
