No ATOS medical?

I phoned ATOS today to ask when my work capability assessment will be as its nearly been 13 weeks since I started receiving ESA.
I was told that I provided enough evidence about my conditions in my application and therefore do not need to attend a medical and my file was sent back to DWP on the 20th August.
So what happens now? When will I get a letter telling me what group I've been placed in? Which group will I be placed in due to me not having to attend a medical assessment/WCA? Do I need to keep sending in medical certificates/sick notes?

You need to keep sending in fit-notes until officially told that you have been accepted into ESA. It could be either group and there's no way of telling which.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I had the same thing except mine was to do with the transition to ESA from Incapacity benefit.
I sent off lots of evidence, expecting a medical as I had one before but received a letter saying I had been put into the support group of ESA.0
