Received a letter from DVLA to renew driving license
Options
I received a letter from the DVLA to renew my driving license as it is due to expire next month., It is asking to send in my plastic license but also the paper counterpart (which i have lost), this sounds silly i know but i take it i will have to first order a replacement paper license, when i get that then send the form off to renew the driving license?
It just seems like a lot of waiting around and bureaucracy

Im sure the renewal form tells you to return both parts if you have them. Do you have a valid passport? you may be able to renew online.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

Just tell them it's lost, problem solved.
You can use your passport if it's less than 5 years old.
I'm sure we took the FIL to a post office and done it all in there (certain ones only). The cost to do so was balanced out by the fact we didnt need to go to a photobooth for a picture.0
