A thought just come to me from my discussions with my StepChange IP about the PPI I claimed. You can ask for an exclusion of PPI/Windfalls if you know the details. They may not agree or they may only all it to be partial exclusion but it could secure some of the windfall for yourself.

Reading your post about decision, going down the DMP route until your I&E is more consistent sounds like the best idea for the time being and then consider an iva thereafter for the secure end date. The Debt Remedy tool is good and can be manipulated to a certain extent to give the outcome you want. Once you have the right on you can use the reference number when contacting them so they can see your proposed solution.

hi again lilypie- I meant to add earlier that you CAN live on the reduced budget, I was hopeless before with not impulse buying, I now have no choice as there is no credit. It is a tough road but you can do it- you have to work at it, and yes, wait before buying, and I don't always get it right,I've pared down my food spend, using the recipes on the "Girl Called Jack" blog at the moment, shop for clothes in the sales, save for things, if only I'd done this before but hey....
