Joint PPI help

My partner had a joint mortgage with his ex wife. His claim for mis-sold PPI was upheld and he was offered a joint PPI settlement with his ex. His ex wife has refused to sign the PPI settlement agreement and the bank are saying they will not release my partners share of the PPI without her signature. The situation as it stands is that she won't sign and the bank won't budge. I am wondering if it is worth seeking legal advice in this matter. Any advice would be gratefully received.

I think the bank is within its rights not to settle until all possible claims against it are discharged.
It is also unusual for a mortgage PPI complaint to be upheld anyway.0 -
If the ex is going to get her half paid to her, I wonder why she won't sign.0

I'd also imagine they'd have to open a joint account again to pay the cheque into if they won't release his without her signature.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
