How do I know if it was paid in one go?

Options
Just received a letter from LTSB, about miss-sold PPI.

I don't think the miss-selling part applies, but it also mentions refunds on re-financing.

I did refinance/settle early several loans so, presumably, I would have been entitled to a refund of premium, if the insurance was paid in full, at the beginning of the loan.

I visited my branch, and they gave me a printout, showing what appears to be 7 loans, taken out over the period 1994 to 2009.

They have titles such as "LTSB Personal Loan", "Fixed Rate P/Loan With Insce", "LTSB Select Loan" and "LTSB Personal Loan (Preferenti".

As you can see, some of the names have been truncated, due to the width of the spreadsheet columns.

My question is, how can I tell which (if any) involved PPI insurance, paid in one go?

If you repaid one loan with the next, the PPI from the first loan would, after the rebate for early settlement be put onto the next loan, just because the PPI was paid upfront, does not mean that you repaid the whole PPI for each loan as you refinanced each one.

Have you made a claim for mis sell or are you gathering info to make a claim?, the loan references you mention above, have no relevance to a claim as the PPI, as I said, would have basically rolled over to the next after the rebate.

You need the agreements to show if these were Single Premium PPI or not.

As I said in my first post, I received a letter from LTSB today, and the bit about premium refund, for refinanced loans, got me wondering.

Also, on at least one occasion, the PPI couldn't be carried over onto the new loan, because I used a loan from another source, to settle the LTSB one.

Sorry, I was expecting an attachment that could be viewed as nothing was in the thread.

Things like "Preferenti" aren't complete words, are they?

Even if you refinanced with another bank, you would have been given a rebate of the PPI from the Loyds loan that you repaid and the remaining PPI from that one would have been repaid by you in settlement to Lloyds.
Contact Lloyds and see if they can tell you if any/all these were Single Premium then make the claim, ask them to look at other loans that were part of this chain.

Does the paperwork show any amounts at all, maybe the PPI, loan amount, term and monthly payment? if it does it will be easy to work it out.
