1571 - no different tone if someone leaves message

My landline is with Sky. Until about 10 days ago, when I picked up the phone to make a call, there was a different dial tone if someone left me a message on 1571. Now the dial tone is the same.
Does anyone know why this is? Before, I got back from work/day out and I used to pick up the phone and check the dialing tone. Now I have to dial 1571.

I read the title of your thread and said to myself, "I bet they're with Sky" before I even opened the thread and read the first 5 words.
Report the fault to 151 and get ready for a long wait for it to be rectified.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
