Moving abroad and address

Hello, I currently bank with Barclays and I have told them I will be working abroad and becoming non resident. They are keeping the account open for myself as I will return to the UK at some stage etc. Plus it is handy to have when I come back to the UK on holiday to visit friends family.

With regards to my credit file - will Barclays report my new foreign address to the CRA? Or will it show as gone away after last known address?

They'll probably report the foreign address listed at your last UK address and mark gone away, foreign addresses aren't stored with CRA's, just a heads up, the longer you are gone the more empty your credit file will be, IF you ever return

Or a mail box, but not free

Will Barclays let you use a PO Box?

Some look like a normal address, google them. Virtuall addresses. £200 a year or so.

I have a virtual office already for my Ltd company in London. Could I not point my personal accounts to my virtual office?

I have mail forwarding already taking place for my business stuff

I would certainly give it a try. No need to explain to them, just write and ask them to update your address and confirm in writing.
