Good afternoon all, i'm looking for a little bit of advice if anyone can give it regarding ppi etc.
Like everyone else i've been bombarded over the last couple of years with the emails telling me that i'm entitled to thousands etc in ppi and always put them down to spam as i felt i'd missed that boat as i didn't have any of my old loan account or finance agreements paperwork but i have just come across my statements for my Halifax credit card which i've had since 2002, i was given the card when we took a loan out in our local branch.
My question is; on every statement from July 2002 right through July 2003 there is an item i'm charged " Credit Card Repayments Cover ". Its on every statement until the style of statement changed in 2003, is this a type of ppi and if so do i have grounds to complain as i certainly wouldn't have wanted any type of insurance as i've always been self employed and know for certain i wouldn't have taken out such a thing.
Sorry if i took a long way for a shortcut trying to get to my point :rotfl:
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.

We cant say if you have grounds for complaint. The issue is not the product. It was how it was sold to you and whether that was wrong. So, with that in mind, why do you think it was mis-sold? How did you buy it?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thanks for the reply.
I believe i've a case of it being mis-sold as I never have taken out any kind of insurance for any type of product or purchase other than those compulsory ( Vehicle & Home Insurance ), it all stems from an early discovery that they were a waste of time. We had a leather suite 20+ years ago which we had the protection with and it didn't pay out when we needed it to so we vowed then never to take out ANY insurance's with anything and we haven't knowingly and we've had countless personal loans & credit cards.
Thanks again for the reply0
