My pc monitor keeps switching off. (hijack log included)

Around 3 weeks ago suddenly my monitor just began to turn off for a second then start up again. This happened every 30 seconds, even if I was using the mouse. Dead on 30 seconds. I checked my settings on windows 8 and its set to sleep after 1 hour of inactivity. I was baffled so just did a system restore. This cured it. Today well really in the last several minutes its started to do it again, my monitor just goes black and comes back on. I have done another restore but its still happening this time after around 1 minute. Its doing it now and I have to obviously wait for a second or 2 until the screen comes back on. This is weird.

Can anyone offer help please.

I am at work at 3pm so if no replies till later I will reply to any questions.

Does the monitor switch itself off if the PC is off?

Just wondering if it is a monitor fault or a fault with the pc/software.

Ive not tried this action but I will turn pc off now as my monitor light stays eluminated if I do not turn off. When its going off the switch light goes out too. I will try this now.

The restore and reboot seems to have cured it. But there is something not right.

Well 3 weeks ago my monitor began to turn off after 30 seconds which is strange. at 30 second intervals. It has done it again today but cured by system restore. Its odd.

Im hoping someone can look at the log to see what issues there are in there that should not be for a kick off.

My monitor is fine now. but will this occur again in a day or 2 or week or 2.

Have you run virus software and adware/malware software to check?

Forget malware. It's unlikely to be a malware problem.

Try a different monitor to eliminate a monitor fault, then concentrate on the fault from there, the symptoms listed do not tie in with one another.
