Screen in my PSP broken, HELP!

My son dropped his PSP on the floor and the screen is broken. Kind of broken inside, since no bits have come off, but anyway...

How expensive and where could this be fixed? It's an American PSP (we've lived abroad for a while, but will come back soon), would it work in the UK? If it would not, then I don't think I'll bother fixing it!

Thanks a lot

That's how to do it and they're about £20 on ebay.

Not sure if it'll work in the uk.

The PSP is only region coded for movies. Games from all over the world will play on any PSP. The charger that comes with the PSP works on a variable voltage so all you need is to convert the 2 pin plug to 3 pin by either replaceing the cable with a uk cable £2 from maplin or an adaptor block. I use the adaptor block as I have a few things that have a 2 pin plug including my PSP from Japan.

Screens can be replaced, and can be bought for not that much, remember a screen is 2 parts, the LCD and the back light both parts can be broken, if its the back light you will see the image but it wont be very bright. if its the LCD there will be leakage and cracks on the screen. I would buy a unit with both as to save postage cost if it turns out to be the other bit that is broke. you can always stick whihc ever bit you dont use on ebay.

The eBay sellers remember to take in to account the postage costs as well when choosing who to buy from. Som charge a small fortune for the postage. Ohh nad sharp screens are considerd to be the better screens that were used in early PSP's.
