You can get a job if she has a level 2 in nursery ON PAPER. In practice this us unlikely without at least recent classroom experience and all if not most agencies will not take under a level 3.
They say level 2 or above but it never opens the door as from next year L3 will be the min.
So she can work, but the college is right, with no recent classroom experience a level 3 is the best route.
Or look at teaching via open university as an alternative0 -

Ahh that makes sense. She hasn't got a level 2. She's going straight on to a level 3 as she has very good GCSE and A Level results (pretty much Straight A's) as well as previous experience in childcare/early years education and the OU Diploma in Health & Social Care.0 -

The OU diploma will give her the level 2, but they would prefer a level 3 in supporting learning0 -
I don't think my pension scheme allows for extra contributions, but even so would the increase in tax credits not be offset by the increase in pension contributions?

You could use a Sipp or Personal Pension to make FSAVCs?
