    Investor succeeds in bid to wind up FreshStart Living

    MANCHESTER property developer FreshStart Living is to be wound up after a successful petition by an investor.
  • Freshstart Living was selling investment units at Colonnade House, 201 Sunbridge Road, Bradford BD1 2HQ. It turned out to be a disastrous investment for many as can be seen by numerous postings on the Internet. It was also a nightmare for all the students who were suddenly left without accommodation and had to move out when the fire authorities moved in.

    When the bad publicity came they changed the name of the building to "The Fort".

    This property is now being marketed to investors under the new name of Summer berry Residences.

    Does anyone know if this is still the same outfit?

    I was offered the investment for Summerberry Residences Bradford student apartment. Could you please update me whether this is a scam from FreshStart Living or its previous director? I have yet to sign the agreement. I appreciate if you can update me before it's too late for me. Thanks
  • If you have any doubts, why take the risk? All these student type of investments have received a bad press recently. You will be dependent on a management company over which you have little if any control over and are buying into an investment which you are unlikely to be able to sell.

    Our client, a building contractor is owed tens of thousands of pounds by a company within the Empirical Property Group, called Colonnade House Construction Limited. The sole director is a (text removed by MSE Forum Team) but we believe him just to be a name. The power behind the throne is (text removed by MSE Forum Team). These 2 individuals are well documented on the internet for their suspect commercial practises. There are CCJs against lots of their group companies.

    It is noted on ripoff report that the group uses a a registered office address of 7 Empress Street, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 9EN for their many group and associated companies but this is just a postal address.

    Did you finally buy the property? How much is the offered? I was offered 40,000 pounds per unit with 10% guarantee return for 10 years. Can you tell me more.

    Does anyone know if the property being marketed as Trafford Mill 1 in Manchester by Property Frontiers is the same building also called Empress Mill? The old Trafford Press is now called Printworks Manchester.
