Which mobility scooter?

OH has had 8 years of trusty service from his Wispa scooter, but now needs to find something to use on rougher ground, but still able to fold or dismantle quickly to fit into car. So many scooters on the market, I don't know where to start looking.
We had grandson through at weekend and spent some time in park with him. Scooter coped well with rough ground, but next day OK was mass of sore bones, so needs to find something more comfortable.
Any scooter suggestions for us to consider would be appreciated.
Thanks

For rough ground you need big wheels, length and width for stability. Which is just the opposite of what you need to fit it in easily a car. So you need to decide which is most important to you. You may have to give up on the idea of using it on rough ground.“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
I've got a Pride Colt Deluxe. I wanted the biggest scooter I could get that would also go in the boot of a car.
This copes well with rough ground as it has suspension springs and the wheels are solid rubber, so no punctures.
The seat is very comfortable, with a back rest and an option of different springing for heavier weights.
It dismantles quickly and easily into the car boot although some of the parts are quite heavy.
It's only drawback is that it's ground clearance is only 2 inches so you can't mount any kerbs, only slopes.0 -

Thanks for info.
Having spent hours looking on-line. We've opted to go for Shoprider Valencia.
Comes on Wednesday, so hoping it dismantles enough to fit in car.
Did notice the ridiculous pricing used on mobility scooters. This one is on manufacturers own website priced at £3200!!. We found it on various sites priced between £855 and around £1400, all claiming to give massive discounts on RRP. Needless to say, we've gone for the cheapest price and have been impressed with customer service when I phoned to ask some questions.0 -
I know it's a tad little late, but I saw this site and thought they folder up well.

Thanks Brassedoff. If our main criteria had been easy car transportability, this one looks absolutely perfect, but we needed fairly heavy duty use as well.
I wonder when this £1350 will reduce to around half price. Googling seems to show that most of the scooter discount sites are not advertising it yet.
I remember hearing that the Luggie it is compared to got really bad reviews.0 -

Glad to have helped you.0 -
Discount Mobility Direct have good pricing but you would need to do some assembly yourself and lift quite heavy parts too.
Also their after sales service left a bit to be desired.0 -
Just a quick note in case anyone else is looking for the same kind of scooter.
Shoprider Valencia arrived on Wednesday. Came fully assembled and should have been warned that it would require assistance to help the driver. OH couldn't help, but driver and I managed to get the 75+kg box out of the van and manhandle it into the garden, luckily just beside where the van stopped. Should have paid the extra to have the 'accompanied delivery option'.
OH is very pleased with it. It is rugged enough to cope with the park and can dismantle to fit in car. Splits into various parts if necessary - once you have taken off the seat and the battery pack, the tiller folds down and the frame separates into a front and a back section. Parts are heavy but manageable. Our car is a small one (Hyundai i10) so had to put one half of back seat down.
We're off to Aviemore later this month for our annual holiday and are looking forward to going on the numerous walks again - good paths, but just too rough for the Wispa.
It looks huge beside our Wispa, but OH says it is so comfortable. Lots of size adjustments can be made. However we are going to keep the Wispa for short shopping trips and, if necessary, train and bus travel as Valencia doesn't fit the size regulations. Luckily there's spare space in the garage for both.0
