I am a bit stuck, having searched through the internet I still cant see any clear answers so was wondering if any of you mser's would know:-
I have a received a P45 for a new starter after the first payment run has been done. The advice on HMRC is to adjust the employees database entries for the week you started to show the total pay and tax to date.
And then it states:- ' Do Not include previous pay or tax in your next FPS - only report figures from employment with your business'
To me that contradicts itself so I am totally confused as to what to do if anything.
Is there anyone who has more experience of this than me that could help.
thanks in advance
