Contactless Cards: Good news??
Comments
-
I've yet to see a machine that will accept contactless payments.
Most machines will - the technology has been in place for some time but not that many retailers/banks have fully activated it - although the number is increasing and I'm seeing many more than a year ago, although many of them are still not clearly indicated.
Last time I was in New York, I found contactless much more prevalent and despite my initial concerns, it worked like a dream. I think I had only two or three conventional transactions in the entire three weeks I was there.

I got one of these, for my one and only Contactless Card.

Certainly worth £3-07 for the peace of mind.
Will also be investing in something like this, before I go on holiday.

Cardboard, with a metallised lining.

They're even in SIA Licences now.0 -
I thought Bedsit Bob was never going to get a bank card of any sort.0

It's not a bank card.
It's an Orange Pre-Paid Mastercard.0 -

on another forum a contributor has commented:
"When my bank refused to swap out my new contactless debit card for a "normal" one, I looked up how to disable the facility and found you just need to drill a small hole in the card to break the internal circuit."
