Digifusion FVRT100 reception problems

Folks :-
I bought one of the Digifusion FVRT100 PVRs that Microdirect were selling recently. It works fine when receiving / recording BBC, when receiving / recording ITV the picture breaks up horribly.
In the aerial setup for tuner 1 it says it is receiving 77% signal from channel 66 - Winter Hill with an excessive number of errors. For tuner 2 it is receiving 81% from channel 56 - Winter Hill with (apparently) no errors.
I have tried changing the channel being used by tuner 1 with no joy. I make the changes but the PVR reverts to using the error strewn channel 66. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Kevin

You're doing nothing wrong, I have the same problem. You can not select manaually the tuner or location to receive from, I've complained more than once to digifusion about this, perhaps if more people did then they'll release a update so you can select the best tuner and signal therefore. They say they are always glad of feedback. I also find tuner 2 is the best tuner, why? no idea. Problem with me is I live perhaps between two siganl areas and the signal keeps flicking between the two locations causing all sorts of problems.
Anyway, I solved the problem, but it's not going to be any good for most people I guess. I have a sky box already connected to the tele, I routed my ariel from ouside to the sky box, then out to my digifusion, i've had few problems since then, sky box is boosting the signal somewhat and reducing errors to zero. Can't explain it, you may not have a sky box, but hope it gives clues to others who may help more!!!!! Maybe try a normal signal booster from a friend to see if that helps, and if it does, go and buy one. Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

Thanks that did the trick, I routed the aerial connection through the VCR first, whch acted as an amp. The digifusion box has gone and chosen a different channel for tuner 2 though which may be a factor. If I get rid of the VCR then I'll need to buy an amplifier or a better aerial.
Thanks again

there is also some work going on with the Winter Hill mast for next few months. That said on digital spy a couple of other users ahve reported signal issues whilst using a digifusion box, they sorted it but it repeated a few weeks later0
