...and as you have letters with a decision that it isn't deprivation of capital then in the future nobody can claim it is.These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0

... yup, it's a huge relief having it in writing from both parties! ... thanks for the help! xHousing_Benefit_Officer wrote: »...and as you have letters with a decision that it isn't deprivation of capital then in the future nobody can claim it is.0 -
i'm really pleased they made a sensible decision and the money will be allowed to be used to buy 55% share in a secure property of your own.
In light of your brothers behaviour I hope the property has been independently valued and you will be getting a fair payment.I have to say i'm surprised your Brother has bothered to buy you out at all as currently he enjoys use of the entire property for less than he will be paying in the future. But at least you can move on.0 -
... thanks! ... and don't worry, it's what we've always intended to do ... my brother just had a problem with me living with him, he's fine with buying me out ... we've had five valuations, so hopefully we're going with a value that's a fair market price!letthemeatcake wrote: »i'm really pleased they made a sensible decision and the money will be allowed to be used to buy 55% share in a secure property of your own.
