Income £153-71-65 left approx £18.
The £65 is not added back on, that is her current entitlement. So, if £65 is her current LHA/ HB rate, with her new income her entitlement would be 65 - ((153 - 71) * 0.45) = £28.10.0 -
whats the income over personal allowance? is there a calculator i can use for this?
Each person is allocated a personal allowance, which does not affect your benefit entitlement. In the case of a single person with no disabilities it is £71. Anything over the amount will reduce your entitlement.0 -
in my case we had a lot of expenses so at the time it made sense that we were both working to pay debts. it so happened we didn't stop the arrangement after they were paid and everything still got paid into his account
the house was only in his name, he's happy to take on the mortgage and work out repayments. of course ihe could be lying about negative equity but i'm free of him so i don't care. if there was any positive equity it would be minimum

So you had reasons that made sense at the time. Good luck with it, I hope the fresh start works out well.Sell £1500

You say that you are not working at the moment - do you have children and have child-care problems? Or are you looking for work?0

All money I earnt when we were together went straight into his account and I had an allowance of that. This is me getting that back now I don't have a jobSo he's not giving you spousal maintenance - you're getting your own money back?
So you OP never paid for anything during this time, your money went into his/joint account but only his money was used to buy anything?0 -

My money went into his account and then along with his earning was used to pay bills, shopping, debts accrued by him and everything else. I deposited about £35000 into the account over the years i was working which was all spent how he dictated0 -

We have always had a single account. Everything went in and out of that account. How many years were you working for this £35000? If it was say 5 then only £7K a year. Barely enough to provide you with a roof, utilities, clothes, fares etc plus an allowance to spend on whatever you fancied.
Surely you are not expecting to get all your wages back?0 -
