Baggage allowance for infant under 2 yrs on British Airways

Are infants under 3 allowed any baggage allowance on BA? It is not very clear on their website, it seems the baby is allowed one hand luggage, 1 buggy and 1 car seat but I do not think any checked luggage. Also am I right to think your hand luggage can exceeds 10 kgs as long as you can put it uo. Thanks

Hand baggage with BA is up to 23kgs on their scheduled service. However if another company has chartered a BA plane they will have their own allowances.

Infants are babies under 2 years old.

You can bring one item of hand luggage for an infant, one checked-in bag per infant and a stroller + car seat.

Hand luggage can be up to 23kg as long as it fits with the measurements (provided on website) and that you can lift it into the overhead locker. I'd recommend you don't actually put 23kg in hand luggage though as most people would struggle to lift this amount over their head into the locker.

Is the infant on a paid for seat, or sat on your lap ? If on a paid for seat, they will get the full passenger allowance.
