Where did the 28/8 go ?

I was just checking through comps finishing today 28th to make sure I'd done them all... went off to have my tea and came back to find them all gone ?
Is it just me not able to see them ?

I usually try and get a couple of days ahead but then check back in case any new ones have been added on the current day and this is the first time it's gone before the end of the day.

Hi,it's happened in the past & it all depends how busy the BG team are.It's a bit of a difficult one as they get criticised for not moving them on time & moving them early is also criticised.
Dalkirst is off on his hols so the other two are probably going to be busy.

It is too early to move them. You can still enter most on the day they expire and also remember that a lot of people put an earlier date than they actually do expire. Have no idea why they've been moved before they've expired. At the moment it seems to be one extreme or the other with no in between. The comps haven't yet expired and they shouldn't have been moved. I also check back as some have always been added at the last moment.

It does make it difficult to sort through those that are genuinely over and those still live to midnight...:)

Board Guides are volunteers and we have to remember that they have a life away from these boards. They move comps when it is convenient for them and we just have to accept that it is not always going to be at a time that is convenient for everyone else, especially when there are only two of them coping with this board at the moment.

They are still easy enough to find hun and we can't criticise the board guides, they move them when it's convenient after all they don't get paid!! x

they're certainly not as easy to access as they are in their original place.
in GO they're mixed up with lots of others of differing dates. Same problem when doing a search by a specific end date too.

I know the BGs are volunteers and they do it when they have time. I really do applaud them for this, but where's the logic in moving them until they are officially ended? They were moved around 8pm last night which is 4 hours before closing for a lot of those comps.

I would personally like to see some sort of rule in place to prevent the early move of comps into GO. I have found it to be a problem more times that I care to mention and I am certain others will be affected.

Just to reiterate I am not having a go (!) at BGs. I appreciate their work but I cannot see any advantage to be gained by moving active comps until midnight that evening.

Umm could it be the Bg who moved them wanted to go to bed early because they were going on holiday the next day?

If it was left until the next time they have a chance to move them there would probably be people complaining because they hadn't moved...

i realise this but my point is the comps had not ended! not game over!
