Hi all
Sorry I am a complete novice to papercrafts. Can anyone recommend any cheap websites for buying supplies. Many card and paper at this point? Any help at all would be appreciated!
Thanks

Not sure what you're looking for but quite a lot of people use this

2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy

You have to decide what you want first!! Its oh so easy to get to an online shop and put the pretties in your basket then lo and behold you've spent a small fortune!!
What sort of cards are you going to make? I found the easiest thing was to make my christmas cards, I bought a kit, its a great way to get started as you have a lovely result!!
Have a look at some of the HunkyDory kits or try getting an ideas book from the library or buy one from e-bay. I watch Create and Craft on the TV just to get ideas and the proper name for things - then I go buy them cheaper on e-bay!!
If you decide to do christmas cards then work out how many you need and what sorts (you'll want bigger or more fancy cards for close rellies!!)0 -
I agree with glynisrose (although i probably shouldn't given i own an online craft supply business:rotfl:) lots of people buy random items and waste money on items they won't use for crafts but will end up sticking in a cupboard. Decide what projects you want to do and then buy items based on that. Its best when starting off to buy items that can be used for lots of projects i.e. multifunctional ribbons and buttons.
If you are looking to make Christmas cards then its best to choose Christmas coloured ribbons that can also be used at other times of the year also so instead of buying some with say Christmas trees on just buy plain (or glittered ) ribbon in greens, reds, silvers etc and use them on other projects too.
Hope this helps Dizzytina xxV 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
There is nothing more demoralising than buying a load of stuff but not being able to make anything out of it!!0

I completely agree glynisrose especially if you are just starting out you definitely need to follow examples as what seems good in your head doesn't always turn out that way on paper !!V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550
