Anybody got a dyson DC19?

I bought the above yesterday and have assembled it. I am a bit confused where the hose connects to the main body, on my instructions it says it should click but it does not, I sort have to push the hose into the main body. I have emailed Dyson buthe did not seem to help and he sent me a link. My husband said there is nothing to click. I am a bit concerned if I have not connected the hose to the main body properly it will come out as it is not secured. The other parts did click when I assembled. Can anybody help please? Thanks
