DLA claim awarded through to April 2014 but GP report requested now

Hi

I had a claim for DLA awarded since April 2013 and it was dated through to April 2014.

I have just recieved a letter from my GP asking me to make an appointment to discuss a request from Work and Pensions that a DLA report be completed by my GP.

Is this usual and standard to check if there has been any improvement in the condition that was claimed for?

Thanks,

It is approaching the time at which they will be considering if they need to contact you with a renewal form, or if they can do it without.
It is likely that this is what's happened - they believe you likely qualify, and are contacting your doctor to see if they have any feedback.
