Who Else Had the Kerrang! Radio Call?

Just had a call from Kerrang! Radio for a competition I'd forgotten I'd entered - from here.

Only had 10 seconds to answer a question and panicked. They wanted a number and as they'd just said £2500 to me that was in my head, so I responded with 'Two thousand...no! {my answer}' but he'd only take what I said first, which is so far off the correct answer it's untrue.

So now I'm kicking myself for being so utterly rubbish Good luck if you had the call too! May your brain work far better under pressure than mine!

I also got this call CinnamonGirl and was similarly panicked going for 4300, a long way off as well! 10 seconds isn't enough to process so much information and make a reasonable guess! Other's were further off than ourselves though! I listened most of the day but missed the winner - did you hear what they went for?

We'll be much better prepared the next time we are asked that question!

We're the others really miles off too? I was sure I'd made a right fool of myself and it was worse that my answer wasn't even supposed to be 2000 but when my heart's thumping and that figure's in my head it just came out of my mouth without me wanting it too

I didn't listen at all, so have no idea who won. And yes, we'll be set for pub quizzes for life as I'll never forget that one now!:rotfl:

Others were similarly panicked and gave answers further off than our own, I think I heard 6 or 7 over the course of the day which included one around 800 and another at 125,000!

If I recall correctly yours was the 4th or 5th closest guess of the day, the second closest went for 4,600 so the winner had around 4000 either side to win the prize the lucky thing!
