Minimum single charge amount

Is there a minimum single charge amount that can be reclaimed? Someone told me that anything under £12 cannot be reclaimed.

I have requested my statements for the last 6 years from lloyds and they have just sent me charges statements, with many under £12.

Thanks in advance

JB

I am not aware that there is any minimum amount, either individually or in total. On the other hand, I am not aware of any charges less than the new £12 credit card late payment charge.

Actually, claims for relatively small total amounts do have one big potential advantage. It is even more financially advantageous for the bank or credit card company involved to settle them before the court fees are added. Unfortunately, I do have to say "potential advantage", because the banks and credit card companies do seem to have a problem figuring this out.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

I have my statements to hand, im unsure as to what I can claim for, any help greatly apprieciated. Here a few sample lines on the statement:

    CHG O/DRAFT INTEREST 10.18DR
    CHG UNPAID D/D 140.00DR
    FEE ACCOUNT CHARGE 7.00DR
    CHG O/DRAFT INTEREST 4.36DR
    CHG O/DRAFT EXCESS FEE 90.00DR
    FEE ACCOUNT CHARGE 10.00DR

These are just a few selected at random, can i reclaim all the fees/charges listed on my statements? Even the smallish amounts? I have15 pages of these!!

Thanks for that, can I ask why? I have loads of pages of charges ranging from £4 - £175....is there a minimum amount?
  • hey jayb

i have loads of interest charges on my overdraft because it was an agreed overdraft. was yours? if so, the charges can't be claimed back because you agreed to borrow the money. they should write to tell you how much they will take out for your interest charges each month.

and the other small fees must be for handling your account.

it seems only the chg's for unpaid d/d's and excess fee's are unlawful. get on to them !!! good luck.
