2nd chance at Work Programme...childcare help?

Hi All,
So me and my partner want to move in together. We have found a house and I have moved into it and my partner was due to move in after he finished his 8th week of his work programme. Basic the whole way through the 8 weeks the employer promised him and the two girls jobs at the end and he worked without pay (still getting JSA) for the 8 weeks and then the employer declares the business is in trouble or so he won't be getting a job after all
We are gutted! He's desperate to work but there's nothing where we live at the moment so he has taken yet another work programme which starts on Monday.
The problem is that I also work full time claiming childcare tax credits. If we move in together now, I know I'll have to reclaim but will his work programme count as him being in work or will I not be entitled to childcare tax credits anymore as he is not actually 'employed'? Xx

Not sure but if he is still claming JSA then I think techinally the benifits people would see it as not working.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Is he going to be claiming JSA? Your income will prevent unless contribution based.
If contribution based why not ask the JC to fund any childcare, are you not on maternity leave ? Sorry if I mixed you up with someone else.0 -
He will still be claiming JSA. He should be able to get contribution based JSA but even if he was refused he would still be able to sign in for the support of finding a job but not getting money for it.
I have just returned to work two days a week but will be going back 4 days (33.5) hours shortly x0 -

Will the job centre pay childcare?0 -
They pay childcare for single parents, so the honest answer is I don't know but worth an ask when he next goes.
However, if he's on credits only this may affect things.
It's great he's willing to do anything to find work so in an ideal world this is exactly the help that should be there.
You won't get childcare tax credits - so the job centre is probably your only option.0
