Fee charging Bank Accounts (LLoyds)

I upgraded online to select account some time ago, after reading about claiming back these fees I wrote to Lloyds asking for the fees back, they have responded by saying that because I upgraded online I have no claim, because it was not sold face to face, does this really apply??. I am thinking of taking my claim to FOS but did not want to waste there time. The account has been closed for some years now

    How did you complain saying they mis-sold it to you when you yourself selected it online?

    you would be wasting their time. These fees for services are only an issue if they were mis-sold to you. i.e. a bank staff member persuaded you to buy the service when you didnt need it. That did not happen in your case. So, you were not mis-sold.
