Triker, is your No Claims bonus protected?

When my car, old Nova was stolen and written off, I lost a load of No Claims and with the pittance they paid me after my excess, I ended up paying out more in extra insurance premiums as my No Claims was lower.

    (does that make sense)

Triker, sorry to hear about your car and the bloody rigmorole that you are going through with the insurance company. Bloodsucking so and sos. You spend all your life paying money to them and not only do you get blocked with red tape at every corner, you dont get anything back for all the loyalty youve shown them over the years. WHat happened to showing a bit of compassion instead of quoting things like 'you cant have a courtesy car because your car isnt in an approved garage. It was nicked you !!!!!!! !!!!.' I hope you get a result. Good luck Lenny

Yes it's protected but only due to having a drunk driver drive into my (third party only insured) car years ago and the hassle and !!!!!! I had to deal with taught me to try and cover myself from all angles.....but it makes not a jot of difference.

On the plus side someone called 'Gary', whom I suspect was ringing me from a call centre not in the UK, rang to say the assessor will be out tomorrow between the hours of 9am and 3pm, so I'll keep a vigil.

I just wish that I had some means to change this system, re damage to your vehicle and the way the victim gets treated. I mean whats wrong with the picture?

To the twonk responsible for causing all this hassle, may the aroma of poo surround you and a fissure appear somewhere painful.
