Water soaking brickwork from neighbour's leaking toilet

Don't need a plastic bag on the pipe, the bucket underneath has got quite a lot of water in it, but there also seems to be water still coming out from near the wall, but after the initial drop, the boiler pressure doesn't seem to be dropping any more, so the water source is baffling. (The pressure drops initially, but never goes to the point where I would HAVE to top up, it just goes low, but this doesn't affect the amount of water that has been coming out without any additional drop in pressure...)
Hope the British Gas person can fathom it! Would my British Gas cover any damage to brickwork or am I going to have to dig out my buildings insurance as well?
In the end taking the pics on my phone over the last month will be handy as if it's raining the British Gas person won't really be able to see what I am on about... But the pics show it very clearly.0 -

However, the bucket filled up quite a bit while I watched when it wasn't raining, I could observe the water coming out of the pipe into the bucket, so any other test would be superfluous to ascertain whether water is coming out of the pipe!0 -

First one is November 25th, second one last week. Note the contrast in patterns, often the water is just in the corner, sometimes it goes out further. My house is the one to the right with the piping, the neighbour's extension is to the left, it has moss all the way along the bottom bricks which is another reason why I though it was originating from there.. The pipe dripping the water is just above the joint on the pipe nearest the water, it drips down just about where the water ends near the drainage hole on the 2nd picture. But then in the first picture that area is dry!0 -

Sorry, can't quite understand that. The pipe nearest the water has two right angle joints, one at the top where it goes into the wall and one at the bottom. Do you mean the dripping pipe is just above the upper joint, just out of the picture? If so, how come "it drips down just about where the water ends near the drainage hole on the 2nd picture". That seem far too far out from the wall. Does the pipe stick out a lot?
Seems to me the site of the problem is near that corner that's damp, rather than out from it. What's inboard of that corner - in your house and in your neighbours?
Also, what about the roof/guttering above that corner?
Good luck with it.0 -

Thanks, well probably not the joint, but the thing that holds it to the wall, either way, sort of almost directly above the drain, but not quite.
Not sure about the guttering, but I seem to recall it was doing this during the hot dry spell in August, so unlikely to be rain from a gutter.
Very puzzling, at least the BG person is booked for tomorrow, suppose since I have drains and plumbing cover as well as the boiler cover they will be obliged to explore in some detail?0 -
Thanks. Yes I expect he should inspect thoroughly, if you have that sort of cover.
It's a curious one. I see you have a pretty high DPC and is that more damp proofing injection holes above that again? So the floor of the room inside is high up - and there's a void underneath?
Just wondering if you could have a leak in the cold water feed to the house. Where does it enter the house, relevant to that damp corner?0 -

The tap where I turn the water on and off is at the front of the house, but with it being an old house I guess there are all kinds of pipes going in all sorts of places! Hopefully the BG man will be able to throw some light on this, it seems worse than it has been just the last few days, wonder if that is since I filled the boiler up... curiouser and curiouser!0 -
Yes, weird.
Do let us know how it pans out.0
